Lake Tinaroo Boating Hazard Chart, Northern and Southern sections

Lake Tinaroo is a man made lake located on the Atherton Tablelands in North Queensland. When the lake was created by damming the Barron River many tress covering the hills and valleys flooded by the lake where left standing. The lake is currently a popular boating, fishing and water ski area and these trees now pose a hazard to these activities. A comprehensive chart of the boating hazards on the lake including speed limit and no go areas was subsequently produced using aerial photography and GPS survey and is now distributed freely using the local councils website.
